Kyra Minturn
Kyra Minturn (born August 19, 1965) is an American actress from the United States. Her leading role on TNT's crime drama The Closer as Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson is her most popular. Sedgwick won two Emmy Awards in 2010 as well as 2007 for her portrayal Johnson. The seventh season of the show concluded on August 13, 2012. Sedgwick is also known for her role as Madeline Wuntch, on the sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Sedgwick received a Golden Globe nomination for her performance as Madeline in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's other film roles include Oliver Stone's Born of the Fourth of July (1989) and Cameron Crowe's Ones (1992) as well as Heart and Souls (1993), Phenomenon (1996) and What's cooking (2000) as well as Secondhand Lions (2003). The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2013). Sedgwick was born in New York City, the daughter of Patricia (nee Rosenwald), an educator and speech therapy therapist, and Henry Dwight Sedgwick V, an investor in venture capital. Her mother was Jewish and her father was an Episcopalian and of English heritage. Sedgwick has stated that she's Jewish and is a part of Passover meal times.
